Hi there,

I would first like to start off and send out a special welcome to all you "Frosh" to Nipissing University. For all you returning students, welcome back. I hope that all of you had a safe and enjoyable summer.

Let me first introduce myself. My name is Brock Leighton and I am this year's Student Union President. It is my main objective to make sure that the students of Nipissing University have the best possible time at our fine establishment. I am also here to ensure that the Student Union's business is kept in a good working order, with the help of the other Vice Presidents. Here is the rest of the 2001/2002 NUSU council. Mark Tomlin is your V.P. External, Julie Price is your V.P. Internal, Scott Johnson is your V.P. Student Life, and last but not least, Patty Bartlett is our Administrative Assistant.

We are all here to help you the students. So if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us here at the Student Union. We are located within the Student Centre, right above The Wall. I encourage everyone to stop by and to see what NUSU is all about.

I would like to encourage you all to get involved in student events to some capacity. There are numerous clubs, committees, sports teams and intramural teams that exist around the university. I guarantee that this will enrich your life at university.

This will be the best time of your life, so make the most of it and have fun. Remember, NUSU is here to help all of you so if you have any problems please give us a holler.
